Best international crypto exchanges for Indian users in 2026

International exchanges can offer broad markets and crypto withdrawals, but the important question is not which logo is biggest. Compare the legal entity, India-specific access, TDS workflow, INR route, records and complete exit path before funding an account.

01

How this shortlist was built

The starting screen is the Government of India’s current published list, not an exchange advertisement. A platform then needs enough official India-specific material to evaluate account eligibility, funding, TDS, records and withdrawals. Affiliate commission is not a selection factor, and appearance here is not a safety rating.

  • Match the consumer brand to the exact reporting legal entity.
  • Confirm India is not excluded by the platform’s current terms.
  • Document the INR route and whether it is direct, card-based or P2P.
  • Check how TDS is calculated, shown and reported against your PAN.
  • Test crypto withdrawals and export records before adding more funds.
  • Review incidents, complaint routes, custody and concentration risk.

Quick comparison for Indian users

Binance

Option to research for an India-localized INR P2P route and broad global exchange access. Confirm the current TDS process, reports, withdrawal networks and the legal entity serving the account before trading.

KuCoin

Strong public India tax documentation among the platforms reviewed. KuCoin explains PAN collection, 1% TDS tracking, downloadable history and Form 26AS reporting; confirm current INR funding and withdrawal routes in the account.

Bybit

Detailed India-specific GST and TDS display, tax invoices and INR P2P material. Some products are unavailable to Indian users, so check the current product and withdrawal restrictions before depositing.

03

Binance: broad access, but verify the India tax trail

The 2026 government list identifies Nest Services Limited, earlier Binance International Limited, under the Binance trade name. Binance also maintains an India-localized INR P2P market. Those facts do not answer every operational question: confirm who deducts TDS, what tax reports are produced, which crypto networks can be withdrawn, and which INR payment methods are available to your verified account.

04

KuCoin: the clearest public TDS documentation reviewed

KuCoin’s official India guidance says Indian users provide PAN and describes 1% TDS on applicable crypto-to-INR, crypto-to-crypto and P2P sale transactions. It also explains order-level tracking, downloadable reports and how Peken Global Limited can appear in Form 26AS. Treat those records as evidence to reconcile—not as the final calculation of profit or tax due.

KuCoin does not currently have a CryptooChai affiliate relationship, so this comparison does not contain a compensated KuCoin signup link.

05

Bybit: detailed India tax display with product limitations

Bybit’s India FAQ describes 1% TDS scenarios, 18% GST on applicable service or trading fees, on-screen tax amounts and downloadable tax invoices. The same guidance lists products unavailable to Indian users. Check the live account interface because tax handling, P2P assets, funding methods and product access can change.

Bybit does not currently have a CryptooChai affiliate relationship, so this comparison does not contain a compensated Bybit signup link.

Why BloFin is not included for Indian residents

CryptooChai has a BloFin affiliate relationship, but BloFin’s official Terms reviewed on 22 August 2026 list India as a restricted location. Therefore this article does not include a BloFin signup link or present BloFin as an exchange option for an Indian resident. A commission must never override eligibility or the platform’s own terms.

07

FIU registration is not a licence or safety certificate

The March 2026 government answer says FIU-IND registration supports AML/CFT reporting and supervision. It also explains why FIU-IND does not publish a consumer-facing “approved exchange” portal: readers could mistake registration for licensing, approval, endorsement or protection against fraud and loss. Continue checking withdrawals, custody, incidents, governing terms and recourse separately.

Use CryptooChai’s legal-entity-first FIU verification guide before relying on any exchange’s marketing claim.

08

Compare a domestic route before deciding

International access is not automatically better. A domestic exchange may offer a simpler INR and tax-record workflow, while an international platform may offer different markets and withdrawal networks. Compare the complete deposit-to-withdrawal path rather than brand size alone.

09

Before you open or fund an account

  • I confirmed the current terms allow residents of India.
  • I matched the brand to the legal entity serving my account.
  • I know whether the INR route is direct, card-based or P2P.
  • I know when TDS is deducted and where it appears in my records.
  • I checked trading fees, spreads, GST and network withdrawal fees.
  • I exported a sample report and completed a small withdrawal test.
  • I did not interpret an affiliate link or FIU status as a guarantee.
  • I limited the amount exposed to any single custodial platform.
