Buying your first crypto safely

The safest first purchase is designed as a learning exercise: a controlled amount, a verified platform, a protected account, a understood order, and a recorded exit route.

01

Verify the platform independently

Type the known domain or use an official app-store listing. Check the legal entity, current access requirements, supported services, fee schedule, withdrawal routes, incident notices, and support process. A familiar brand or affiliate relationship is not proof of safety.

02

Secure the recovery chain

Protect the associated email first. Use unique passwords, strong two-step verification, updated recovery details, device updates, and a review of active sessions. Never give support an OTP or password.

03

Understand the order before confirming

A market order prioritizes execution and may fill at multiple prices. A limit order sets a price condition but may not fill. Review the quantity, INR total, trading fee, spread, and resulting average price.

04

Use a learning-sized amount

The first transaction should let you learn order placement, record export, platform navigation, and withdrawal checks without putting essential savings or borrowed money at risk.

05

Save the evidence immediately

Preserve the order ID, date, asset, quantity, INR consideration, price, fees, and any TDS information. Export the platform history regularly; do not assume it will always remain available in the same format.

06

Before the first buy

  • I reached the platform through its independently verified website or official app listing.
  • My email and exchange use different, unique passwords and strong two-step verification.
  • I reviewed current INR deposit, crypto withdrawal, and INR withdrawal options.
  • I understand the quoted price, order type, trading fee, spread, and final quantity.
  • The amount is small enough that loss or temporary loss of access would not create hardship.
  • I know where the transaction history and downloadable records are located.
  • I will not move the crypto until I understand the destination network and wallet.
