Selling and withdrawing safely
A sale is not complete when the chart says you made a profit. Complete the order carefully, verify the INR withdrawal route, preserve evidence, and understand the resulting tax record.
Verify access before moving assets
If crypto must return to an exchange before sale, first confirm the account, identity status, supported deposit network, trading pair, INR withdrawal route, and current limits. Do not transfer because support in a message says the account is ready.
Separate the market decision from order execution
Review quantity, order type, available liquidity, likely spread or slippage, trading fee, and final consideration. A market order may execute quickly at multiple prices; a limit order may remain unfilled.
Confirm the INR destination
Recheck the registered bank account, account-holder name, withdrawal fee, minimum, limit, and processing estimate. When practical, test a controlled amount before depending on the route for a larger withdrawal.
Do not trade evidence for speed
Preserve the sale order, asset quantity, INR consideration, fees, TDS details, withdrawal reference, support ticket, and bank credit. Keep the original exports along with your normalized ledger.
P2P requires a separate release check
Confirm final payment in your own bank account and match the payer, amount, platform order, and status. Do not rely on a screenshot, SMS, email, screen-share, third-party payer, or promise of a later correction.
Complete exit checklist
- The asset and quantity available to sell are correct and fully credited.
- I understand whether the order is market or limit and have reviewed likely fees and slippage.
- The bank account and account-holder details shown by the platform are mine and current.
- I reviewed the platform’s current INR withdrawal minimum, fee, limit, and processing estimate.
- I tested the withdrawal route with a controlled amount when practical.
- I saved the order, sale consideration, fees, TDS information, withdrawal ID, and bank credit evidence.
- I did not release P2P crypto based only on a receipt, message, or third-party payment.
